For students to succeed and thrive spiritually, we believe that they need two main things: a personal relationship with God of their own, and a close relationship with a Christ-following adult and with friends who can help them navigate the turbulent teenage years.

4. What is the purpose of Sunday Night youth group?
Sunday Night Youth Group is a place for students to come and bring friends and to enjoy community with other believers their age and Interact with adults who are dedicated to serving and following Christ. Students will have games and activities and will be challenged with a biblical message/lesson applicable to their given life stages. This is a more casual relaxed setting, for students to introduce friends to Christian Community.
5. What is the purpose of Wednesday Night small group?
Our Wednesday Night Small Groups are more of an intensive study setting where students and leaders read and discuss aspects and lessons from the bible. They are typically on a 8 week time table and closed after the second week (this is simply to allow the students to begin to mesh with one another and allow them to dig deeper and be more open with a smaller community). New students and those interested in joining a small group study will have the opportunities to sign up for studies the following spring semester.
6. Do we ever Scholarship students for events?
We do not currently scholarship any students for events from our youth budget currently, however this is open to case-by-case circumstances, and will be left up to the discretion of Kris Morrison and Mike Evans to decide how to distribute potential scholarship funds.
7. What are some needs for the youth group?
We are always in need of adults willing to serve in any way possible, and walk alongside our students here at Discover Church in their Faith Journey. We are always open to resource gifts, whether a home, land to hold an event, food, finances, etc.… If you are interested in serving or donating in any way feel free to contact Kris Morrison: email@example.com.
